Kotoko coach won’t work with ‘’unprofessional’’ Ernest Sowah again

Asante Kotoko coach Steve Polack says he is no more interested in working with goalkeeper Ernest Sowah.

According to the English trainer, Sowah was ‘’unprofessional’’ when he publicly called on the club to terminate his contract – which ends next year.

The former Berekum Chelsea shot-stopper cited accusations by Executive Chairman Dr Kwame Kyei that he (Sowah) accepted bribes from Liberty Professionals during a league match last season as his reason for leaving.

And now Polack has slammed Sowah’s approach, insisting the 29-year should have gone through the club’s communication channels.

‘’He [Sowah] has been on the radio, saying things and for me, it is very unprofessional, If you got a problem speak with your employers before you start running to the public,’’ Polack said.

“I believe management will meet and see what the next move will be but for now, we have three good goalkeepers and I’m not thinking about him [Sowah] whether he is experience or not’’

Although no decision has been taken by Kotoko, the club has sent a strong signal that they won’t convince Sowah to stay by excluding him from their CAF Confederations Cup squad.

Sowah signed a three-year deal with Asante Kotoko as a free agent in 2015 after he cancelled his contract with Congolese side CS Don Bosco over unpaid salaries.
